Greetings Summer Tracks concert fans!

JUNE 3rd  — Ol’ 74 Jazz Band www.ol74jazz.net

Ol’ 74 Jazz—an 18-piece big band—kicks off Summer Tracks on Jun 3. A mix of professional and amateur musicians from throughout our region, Ol’ 74 delights audiences of all ages with selections from wide array of genres—everything from Swing, Bebop, Rock, Funk, Latin and others, including classics from Glenn Miller to Earth, Wind & Fire.

JUNE 17th — Peter Karp Band    www.peterkarp.com

Touted by Rock & Blues Muse as “one of the 75 modern Blues & Blues Rock artists you must hear in 2021,” Peter Karp carves his own niche with a sound born in the swamps of New Jersey and the trailer parks of southern Alabama.

JULY 1st — Aaron Burdett
 www.aaronburdett.com

Named by WNC Magazine as one of the top ten most important musicians of Western North Carolina, Aaron Burdett takes the stage with his full band at Summer Tracks. His music seamlessly blends Americana, Country, Blues, Bluegrass, and Folk-Rock.

JULY 15th — Peggy Ratusz & Reggie Headen   https://youtu.be/yV3UUD19HK4

Asheville’s best-loved vocalist and raconteur Peggy Ratusz and fellow performer Reggie Heading bring their show “Something You’ve Got”— a night of duets. These two quintessential vocal interpreters will fill the summer air with a tribute to the greatest duets all time—Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, Koko and BB, Dinah Washington and Brooke Benton, Stevie Nicks and Tom Pettie, and, of course, Johnny Cash and June Carter.

JULY 29th —Seth Walker   www.sethwalker.com

Seth Walker’s gift for melody and lyric, along with his rich, Gospel-drenched voice and his stellar band will fill the air at Summer Tracks. Perhaps Country Standard Time said it best: “If you subscribe to the Big Tent theory of Americana, then Seth Walker –with his blend of Blues, Gospel, Pop, R&B, Rock, and a dash of Country—just might be your poster boy.”

AUGUST 19th — Maya de Vitry Band   www.mayadevitry.com

Singer-songwriter Maya de Vitry returns to Summer Tracks at Rogers Park in Tryon on August 19 with a new band, new songs, and a voice that transcends genre. Pennsylvania raised and Tennessee based, de Vitry first appeared on the music scene in 2012 with The Stray Birds. After hundreds of performances and several acclaimed albums, she struck out on her own with 2019’s Adaptations and 2020’s How to Break a Fall. Her latest release, 2022’s Violet Light, takes a deep dive into our unrelenting human desire to belong to a home, an environment, and each other.
